My Silent Screams

Along this silent path I do walk
Tears streaming down my cheeks
With wind whispers on my neck
His last words touch my ears
Over life he casts a snare
His dying wish
I do hear
With sorrow and despair
Holding in silent screams
That will turn
To silent tears
Among the star filled skies
In the middle of the moonlight
Out comes silhouette
For among the shadows he will be
Am I the person who is constantly hurting?
I try hard to be someone else
Someone who is aware of how I felt
The heart that beats
Is bittersweet
So release me from your memory
Oh Memories
Every day I wake in this barren place
Stare into black abyss
All I want is to be free again
To feel again
To feel warm and bright
The day is long
And the nights so drawn
Please release me from these silent
Dreams
Calm and collected the mask reveals
Nothing
How it hides
The Silent Screams that turns to Silent Tears

Comments from others:
Beautiful poem, Deborah-and great line. Congrats on keeping up with the poems for April's NPM Kudos rated it up.
Wow Debbie! We felt the despair of a broken heart in the middle of the might waking up next to an unwanted love. I would feel so sorry for people that actually cannot find real love...and the strong reason to be alive!
LORD
His last words touched my ears.. Our Ms Brooks you and Audrey are just hitting the 30/30 Hard Up and awesome
I loved the lines "Am I the person who is constantly hurting?/I try hard to be someone else." I think we've all been there at one time or another. Great poem!
Agony. I have felt it. An expressive poem
I am with you on the April challenge. Don't know if I will last. If I were writing prose, it would be easy, but poems are a greater challenge. Good luck. Ann
Voted up and across...(all but funny)
This touched my heart and left me teary eyed. Voted up.
Beautifully expressed.
Original great title describes the brokenness
Beautiful as usual, Debbie you're smoking. Voting up all the way
You touched my heart as well, then I listened to Barbar's voice and the left me feeling sad.
Voted up and beautiful my friend, Joyce.
Beautiful and touching Debbie, well done and all the best :-)
I was just telling Katrine, Debbie, that there are only five poets on HubPages who I read religiously and you are one of the five. Beautiful work and I so greatly appreciate the fact that you bring beauty into the world! Well done my friend; peace and happiness to you.

Gorgeous poem Debbie. Haunting and painful.
Re: the video you included:
I love Barbra's voice. the song goes well with this poem, She turns 70 years old this month. As part of Turner Classic movies' celebration they are airing a night of her films-including The Way we were-with this song.
A beautiful poem and I love to hear Barbra Streisand sing. The video went with the poem very well.
Beautiful poetry Debbie..
This is beautiful. I have always loved Streistand's version of this song and it is appropriately linked to this poem.
Voted up and awesome Debby. All those silent screams keep echoing.
This poem took me to those times I have felt anguish. Great job!
So so beautiful Debbie;again your words touch everyone's hearts.
Take care and enjoy your day.
Eddy.

Your sister did indeed bestow a very touching title to your creation here. Your legion of followers also felt and commented on your work as I knew they would. A poet who can stir and mover a readers soul has done her/his work.
You my dear have done just this, along with the addition of Barbara's fine song Memory, it painted the beauty and sadness and melancholy so well with your title. We all have memories and you touched a chord here for many of us. Well done, bravo and voted Up.
